Meghan or the Sussexes are everywhere in the tabloids, and I could never understand what she did to enrage so many people. Did she steal money from them? Insult their families? Scold their children? Gossip magazines paint thousands of stories about her that I haven't had a chance to verify in person, well, you know, I haven't been invited over for afternoon tea yet, so it’s hard for me to judge! LOL.
I watched her show (As Ever... or whatever it’s called). It isn't super-duper entertaining, but it's pleasant, the kind of show you can leave on in the background while cooking or cleaning without needing total concentration to follow along. In one episode, she cooked a healthy spaghetti dish with spinach, tomato, and pecorino cheese. People talked about it non-stop because of her cooking method: she put raw spaghetti straight into the saucepan without boiling it first.
From a traditional Italian perspective, this is unusual, but it isn't strictly taboo in my eyes. For certain pasta dishes (like Linguine allo scoglio), we par-boil the pasta first, transfer it to the saucepan to finish cooking, and splash in the starchy pasta water every now and then. That way, the pasta cooks through while absorbing the sauce's flavor at the same time.
Anyway, I loved the healthy combination of natural ingredients, so I decided to make "Meghan Spaghetti." I have to say, it's delicious and full of flavor, your gut will thank you!
