  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Fish sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sugar
Additional Ingredients:
  • Eggplant
  • Cilantro
  • Tomato sauce or finely chopped fresh tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon minced shallots and garlic
Cách làm
  • Combine all the marinade ingredients, mix well, cover, and refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
  • Use a knife to make slits on the surface of the eggplant as shown in the video.
  • Stuff the ground meat into the slits in the eggplant.
  • Heat a little oil in a pan, and fry the eggplant until golden. It doesn't need to be fully cooked.
  • Remove the eggplant and set aside on a plate.
  • In the same pan, add minced shallots and garlic, and sauté until fragrant.
  • Add tomato sauce or chopped tomatoes and a little water to the pan. Season with salt and sugar.
  • Add the stuffed eggplant and simmer for about 10-15 minutes until cooked through.
  • Garnish with cilantro and pepper.
  • Serve hot with rice.
